What sets DCSR apart?
Our doctors pride themselves on having a deep-rooted understanding of biomechanics. Keeping up-to-date on the latest neuromusculoskeletal diagnosis, treatment, and performance-related literature allows us to diagnose and treat your condition efficiently. Life is our largest athletic event, and we want to get you back to doing the activities you love — pain-free.
Who do you treat?
We work with a wide range of age groups. From pediatrics and school-aged children to high school and collegiate athletes to our adults and seniors — we take the extra time to individualize treatment to our patient’s goals. Whether it’s running a marathon or being able to safely pick up your grandchild, we want to help.
What does a first visit look like?
Once your initial examination is scheduled, you will receive an email with pertinent demographic, insurance, health history, and chief complaint information. This questionnaire is submitted securely through our secure patient portal, so your information is always safe with us! If you do not utilize email, please be prepared to arrive at your appointment 15 minutes ahead of time.
Upon your arrival at your initial exam, our front desk team will assist you and will likely ask for insurance information and photo ID so that we can keep your identity yours.
Once your scheduled provider is ready, you will have a one-on-one consultation with the provider (often assisted by one of our licensed chiropractic assistants), followed by a comprehensive examination to identify the damage, dysfunction, compensation mechanisms, etc., to best individualize your treatment. Findings will be discussed with you, and unless contraindicated, treatment will likely be provided after the examination. Referrals or other testing may also be indicated and facilitated by our front desk team.
The initial examination, including consultation, assessment, and treatment, typically lasts between 45-60 minutes. Please plan accordingly.
What does chiropractic have to do with sports rehabilitation?
Our providers have backgrounds working with athletic populations while specializing in chiropractic adjustments integrated with soft tissue techniques and therapeutic exercises. Our approach to care involves assessing functional movement patterns and identifying compensations patterns caused by or resulting in injury. Utilizing and integrating these techniques allow us to address chronic repetitive motion injuries and rehabilitate acute injuries.
How much does care cost? Do you accept my insurance?
Our practice and providers are in-network with most major commercial insurance companies, including Medicare Services. Upon the completion of your initial paperwork and verification of your insurance eligibility, you will be notified if you have a copay to be collected upfront at each visit, an examination fee, or an approximate out-of-pocket cost based on diagnostic coding and treatment modalities provided. Please understand that insurance companies do not guarantee coverage based on the information provided to us upon verification of eligibility. We encourage you to follow up with your insurance company to confirm their information with us. Nobody likes surprises when it comes to medical costs! Between our front desk team and our back-office billers, we will do our best to address any questions or concerns you have regarding the cost of care.
